The Washington Commanders compete in the National Football League (NFL). It was the first NFL franchise with an official marching band and a fight song. The team was founded in 1932 as the Boston Braves and has a rich history of football including multiple Super Bowl wins. Numerous football greats have played for the Commanders including Doug Williams, John Riggins and Darrell Green to name a few of the legends.
