Phil Simms is a former NFL quarterback who played his entire 15-year career with the New York Giants. Before going pro Simms played football for Morehead State who were in Division II at the time. Coming out of college not a lot of people knew of Simms but the New York Giants took him woth their first round pick in the 1979 draft. In his 15 years with the Giants, Phil won two Super Bowls (1986, 1991) and was the Super Bowl MVP in 1986. He was also a two time Pro-Bowler and was named the regular season MVP in 1986. Simms would later retire after the 1993 season with a career total of 2,576 pass completions, 199 touchdowns, and 33,462 yards. The Giants would eventual retire his #11 jersey. 

After retiring, Phil Simms has had a successful career as a sports announcer and reporter. He has covered the NFL for ESPN and CBS while also taking on other jobs such as powerlifting during the 1996 Olympics. His voice has become so recognizable by NFL fans that he has been included in multiple Madden NFL video games as part of the announcing crew.
