Mark Ingram II is a professional running back. He played college football for the University of Alabama, where in 2008 was named to the All-SEC Freshman team.
During his sophomore college season, Ingram won the first Heisman Trophy ever awarded to an Alabama player, set the Crimson Tide's single-season rushing record, was a unanimous All-American, and won the 2010 BCS National Championship. He would eventually chose to forgo his seinor year and enter the NFL Draft. Ingram II was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, playing with them for eight seasons before a spending a two-year stint with the Baltimore Ravens. Since entering the NFL in 2011, Ingram has earned three Pro Bowl selections (2014, 2017 and 2019). In Week 16 of 2018, against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ingram recorded his 50th touchdown, surpassing Deuce McAllister for the Saints franchise record for rushing touchdowns. He was ranked 43rd by his fellow players on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018.
On March 13, 2019, Ingram signed a three-year, $15 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He did well there in 2019, reaching 1000 rushing yards. As of February 2021, Ingram II is a free agent.
