Isaac Bruce is a former wide receiver in the NFL and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he was eventually drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the second round of the 1994 NFL Draft after playing college football for the University of Memphis.
An All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowl selection, Bruce amassed 15,208 receiving yards in his career. He played the first 14 years with the Rams. Bruce won a Super Bowl ring with them in Super Bowl XXXIV over the Tennessee Titans. He also played for the San Francisco 49ers. During his time with the Rams, he was the leading wide receiver of “The Greatest Show on Turf”. Bruce caught Kurt Warner’s 73-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XXXIV to give the Rams a 23–16 lead, which turned out to be the game winner. Bruce became the Rams’ all-time leader in receptions in 2002 while posting his fourth consecutive 1,000-yard receiving season.
He has served as the athletic director of the University of Fort Lauderdale a Christian college with HBCU roots. In 2020, Bruce was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.At the time of his retirement. he became the second wide reciver in history to reach 15,000 yeards.
