Emmitt Smith grew up in Pensacola, Florida and was a star running back at the University of Florida.
Drafted in the first round of the 1990 NFL Draft Emmitt helped lead the Cowboys to three Super Bowl Championships in the 1990's. He is one of the best runnings back to ever play in the NFL and set numerous Dallas Cowboys and NFL rushing records during his career. At the time of his retirement from the NFL, he was the NFL's all-time leading rusher. His career NFL stats include 18,355 rushing yards and 164 rushing touchdowns.
He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
In 2013, he founded Emmitt Smith Enterprises and has spent much of his post playing career invloved in various business ventures. He has given countless motivational speeches to corporations, associations, and organizations on leadership, how to build championship teams, adversity and change.
