Andre Reed is a former professional wide receiver. He played college football at Kutztown and was selected by the Bills in the fourth round of the 1985 NFL Draft. He set nine school records and finished his college career with 142 receptions for 2,020 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Reed played in the NFL for 16 seasons, primarily with the Buffalo Bills. In the 1985 NFL Draft, Reed was drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the 86th overall selection, making him just the second player ever from Kutztown to be selected in an NFL draft. Following 15 seasons with the Bills, where he earned Pro Bowl honors seven times, Reed spent his final season as a member of the Washington Redskins in 2000. Reed currently ranks eighteenth in NFL history in total career receptions with 951.
At the time of his retirement, Reed was second in all-time in career receptions. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
