Ali Krieger made her first appearance for the USWNT in 2008. Spending multiple years playing overseas in Germany and Sweden Krieger was unable to participate in international play in 2013 and 2014. She then played a big part in a dominant defense for the Women's National Team in the 2015 World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics.
Off the field Ali has partnered up with a few organizations aimed to helping others, mostly children. One of the non-profits is Athlete Ally which works to end homophobia and transphobia in sports. In 2014 Krieger partnered with MiracleFoot that helps kids in developing countries with clubfoot. In her spare time Ali spends time with children in multiple programs through Teammates for Kids.
